WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
Second Collection - 21st October
Each parish around the world will celebrate World Mission Sunday next week. Our prayers and donations help to support churches, hospitals, schools and vocations in countries where the Church is new, young or poor. It is our chance to help Catholic communities all over the world.
PARISH EVENING MASS There will be no 7pm Masses on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Please continue to check future Newsletters for any changes.

ANNUAL BEREAVEMENT MASS Thursday, 15th November at 7.30pm when we join with all who have been bereaved over the past year and for all the bereaved of the parish.
FUNERALS Mary Josephine Hayes RIP, late of Peace Grove, Wembley. Reception on Wednesday 17th October at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 18th at 12.15pm, followed by burial at Kensal Green Cemetery.

Herbert Fernando RIP, late of Kenton Road, Harrow. Funeral Mass on Friday 19th October at 12.15pm, followed by burial at Paddington Old Cemetery.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The family of the late Charlie Lynch wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. Those who sent Mass cards and gave to the collection for St John & Elizabeth Hospice at Charlie’s funeral mass. Thanks also to Frs. Ray Warren, Bert Bromley, Frank Birmingham and Sr. Eileen, for their kindness and help during a difficult period. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN
INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic? If so, the RCIA programme may be for you. It takes place one evening a week from 7.15 to 8.30, and each session consists of input, discussion and reflection on the Catholic faith. The programme will begin in October. If you are interested please telephone the parish office, or call in.
SCRIPTURE SHARING Scripture sharing on the Sunday readings takes place every Thursday from 11am-12noon in the morning and 7.30-8.30pm in the evening in the Parish Room.
DOCUMENT SIGNING Please make an appointment for Wednesdays only for School Forms and for Passport or other documents. Remember the law requires that you are known to the counter signer so make sure you are registered in the parish.
CHOIR GROUPS Resume on Tuesdays. Children’s group at 6.30pm and Senior group at 8pm.
DIVINE MERCY PRAYER Every Friday from 3pm-4pm for prayer and quiet meditation
QUEX YOUTH CLUB If you are age 7-14 years, come along for arts and crafts/pool/computer/games to the Community Centre (next to the church) from 7pm to 9pm every Friday. (Cost 70p a week, plus £2 yearly membership).

PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2008
150th Anniversary Celebration
Bookings have already started for next September 2008. If you want to come, please contact the Parish Office to book your place. Due to the number of pilgrims attending this anniversary year, it will be necessary to put in place procedures to ensure that all goes as smoothly as possible. NOTE TO PARENTS
Parents must book an appointment through the parish office for the signing of the priests reference form. Fr. Ray is available after school on Monday and Tuesday and all day on Wednesday.
Parents pay very close attention to School Admissions criteria. Some contain very complex points systems and evidence of catholic faith and practice is your responsibility to provide and prove, not the priest! Please ensure that you have clearly understood all the Local Authority regulations also.

HOSPITAL VISITS
FROM THE PRIEST
Please inform the parish office if you, a family member or a parishioner is in hospital. The priests visit the hospitals regularly and they can only know about a parishioner if someone tells them.
