Quex News - Newsletter of the Sacred Heart Church

SEA SUNDAY– 13th July Next Sunday, there will be a second collection for the Apostleship of the Sea. This is the Catholic Church’s outreach to the seafarers who visit our ports each year, offering pastoral and practical support and care. Seafarers work in difficult and often dangerous conditions suffering from loneliness, spiritual deprivation and even exploitation as they transport the goods we use and consume every day. Please give generously to this collection.
CONGRATULATIONS The Sisters of the Holy Family of Bordeaux celebrated 50 years of their province last weekend. We extend our thanks and congratulations to them for their work in and around this Parish.
BETHLEHEM ART Many thanks to all who supported this worthy cause last week. Parishioners who purchased items can collect them from the Repository Shop. If paying by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Sacred Heart Church’. Every purchase helps the many Christian families of Bethlehem that in current times live under constant deprivation and conflict.
LOURDES PILGRIMAGE 2008 Parishioners booked on the Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes in September are reminded that all monies outstanding should be settled as soon as possible. Tangney Tours require full payment by early July.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT There will be no Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament this Friday 11th July, due to exceptional circumstances.
