When a funeral is to be arranged at the Sacred Heart Church, next of kin should first contact a Funeral Director to take charge of all the funeral business. They in turn will contact Cemetery or Crematoria and the Church and agree the arrangements with all concerned. The Priest will contact the next of kin to arrange a meeting.
Next of kin can, of course, directly contact the Parish office to inform us of the death and the priest will arrange to meet and help in organising the Funeral.
The agreed time for Funeral Masses here at the Sacred Heart Church are:
10am & 12.15pm Monday – Friday.
There are no funerals held on Saturday or Sunday.
6pm is the time for Funeral Receptions of remains that is received into the Church the evening before a Funeral Mass
On the Occasion of Evening Funeral Masses
7pm is the time for evening Funeral Masses followed by
repatriation to another country

Priest: God the all mighty Father, raised Christ his Son from the dead; with confidence we ask him to save all his people, living and dead.

1. For N. who in baptism was given the pledge of eternal life, that
he/she may now be admitted to the company of the saints. Lord hear us
2. For our brother/sister N. who received the body of Christ, the bread
of life, that he/she may be raised up on the last day. Lord hear us
3. For our deceased relatives and friends and for all who have helped
us, that they may have the reward of their goodness. Lord hear us
4. For those who have fallen asleep in the hope of rising again, that
they may see God face to face. Lord hear us
5. For the family and friends of our brother/sister N., that they may be
consoled in their grief by the Lord who wept at the death of his friend

6. For all of us assembled here to worship in faith, that we may be
gathered together again in God’s kingdom. Lord hear us
Priest: God, our shelter and strength, you listen in love to the cry of your people: hear the prayer we offer for our departed brother/sister N. Cleanse him/her and all the faithful departed of their sins and grant them the fullness of redemption. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
